HOORAY FOR SUMMER! The boys are very excited for their first day where they didn't have to wake up early and go to their babysitter's. However, since their babysitter decided to also celebrate the first day by leaving for Germany for the next two weeks, we now have the pleasure of taking in Natalie, one of their friends from the sitter's. Naturally, she couldn't wait to play with Matthew, so he still was forced to wake up earlier than he had probably planned. Benjamin also ended up recieving a morning greeting from Natalie. I don't think that she was really trying to choke him, but we didn't mind providing a little extra security.
After Natalie left for the day, we decided to celebrate that summer has come by going to Easton to play in the fountain. Matthew always enjoys this time. Far from the norm, he managed to not fall once, where as he usually can't keep his feet under him. We're so proud! In his defense, it is super slippery at the fountain.
This trip was Benjamin's first time to the fountain. He didn't really care to play with the water to much on his own yet. Mommy and Daddy both enjoyed helping him learn just a few of the different ways to play in the fountain. I can say with great confidence that the last picture shows his appreciation for our help. Oh well. Maybe next time he'll have more fun.
Much more of summer's coming, so please keep checking back. Also, go to andyshawband.com to check out Andy Shaw's cd, Summer's Coming. You can even sample the music at his website.
