Home sweet Home! (Part 2)

So now that we finally made it into the house, and finally got settled enough to share a little of our very recent lives with you. Here it goes.

The very first issue with our home was with out question an issue of legality.  I'm not sure exactly what the length is that Columbus requires a resident to keep their grass under, but somehow I get the feeling our new yard was well beyond the legal limit.  It took three hours to mow this jungle.

Meanwhile inside the house,  friends came over to help paint the boys rooms, as well as the living room.  Benjamin and Matthew both had to get in on the action and each kicked off the all evening event in their own rooms.  We would like to share our gratitude to our friends, the Barkers and the Justices for all their help on that evening.

Matthew was thrilled to pick out his own color of paint, "upward," which will lay as a back ground for what will be his outer space room.  This will consist of the solar system as well as a planetarium, and perhaps even more down the road.  He definitely enjoyed helping paint his room, all in circles of course. There were hard workers following right behind him to make sure the walls did have a smooth painted look.  Just for the record, he did not eat paint chips!

The following day was moving day, and hot.  So hot that as soon as we found the box of Mike's shorts in storage, he couldn't wait and was thrilled to change into them on the moving truck.  NO PICTURES!  The moving was done in less than three hours, which is exciting.  We were then able to move onto unpacking and furniture placement.  Above you can see Matthew with Uncle Alan working hard to set up the crib which at the time was actually missing a few screws.  We'd like to again thank those who helped: Kiko's Dad, Jason, Danny, Tori, Dawn and Alan.
